Our Kırşehir's and country's saz master, folk poet Neşet Ertaş, began to grapple with the troubles of this arduous world from his birth, and he poured these troubles and hardships into his saz and lyrics. These outpourings became love, and entered everyone's hearts. Regardless of where or who they were, Neşet Ertaş became the emotion, the love of everyone. Some said a normal person could not write these words. He knew how to enthrone himself in hearts solely as the people's poet. If you asked him, he would say, "I would be the dust from your feet." He was a human among humans.

He first began to play and sing in his hometown, Kırşehir, with his father Muharrem Ertaş. Later, when he stepped onto the stage, all of Turkey came to know him. He became famous for his love for Leyla. He became the voice, the words of lovers, the unfortunate, and our entire country. While all this was happening, he experienced all the hardships of life.
