Summer Nutrition for Babies
Nutrition is a habit that is organized according to the needs of babies, children, and adults and differs accordingly. With the arrival of summer, it is quite difficult to keep food fresh. In this situation, attention must also be paid to the nutrition of babies and children.
Undoubtedly, the most important food for newborns in the first six months is breast milk. Babies do not need any other food during this period. Feeding when the baby is hungry will be sufficient. For babies fed with formula, it should be prepared only enough for the current feeding and should not be left to be given later. Also, the formula should be prepared with lukewarm water that has been previously boiled. After feeding with formula, the baby should be given water.
Purees and Yogurt Are Suitable for Summer
If the baby is exclusively breastfed, 6 months are required for complementary foods. For babies fed with formula, complementary foods can be given from the third month. It can be started with infant cereals containing rice. Vegetables or fruits can be pureed and given. Yogurt is also among the complementary foods.
In the summer months, ready-made breakfast products sold in powder form for babies and prepared with lukewarm water can be used. At the same time, cereals or pasta can also be on the list.
