The Advantage of Using Fish Bait When Fishing

One of the factors that increases the amount of fish caught is fish bait. Fish bait varies according to the fish to be caught. When a bait that does not attract the fish species is used, the rate of catching that fish decreases. Baits are of two types, artificial and natural, and their use varies according to the fish. While natural baits such as worms and mackerel are used for fish like red mullet, goatfish, and mullet, caught by attaching them to the fishing hook; rockling and horse mackerel are used to catch bluefish.

Various feathers and silk pieces are used as artificial fish bait. The most commonly used among artificial baits is the jig.
