Following the opening of the path for foreign purchases and housing acquisition by foreigners in the real estate market with a Council of Ministers decision, there was a boom in housing sales, especially in the provinces of Antalya, Alanya, Izmir, Istanbul, and Çanakkale. In these days when an economic crisis is expected worldwide, the boom in housing sales in Turkey is evaluated as the emergence of an opportunity that investors have been waiting for for many years.
Turkey, which hosts an average of over 20 million tourists annually, has not yet surpassed Greece. Economy circles attribute such a boom in Turkey, which receives Europe's poorest tourists, to housing prices being at the lowest level compared to the world and to the fact that developing regions will gain more value.
In an interview with Serpil BİRGÜN, an analyst at istevitrin.com, she stated that there are real estate purchases in the Central Anatolia region, but their numbers are incomparably low compared to Istanbul or coastal regions. Serpil BİRGÜN stated that Turkey, which is more beautiful and cheaper than many countries in the world with its nature, sea, air, and people, is a center of attraction for foreigners, and that many companies operating in the real estate sector sell their newly introduced projects to foreigners on the same day they are launched.
BİRGÜL, who predicts that this will not be a short-term business but will continue to increase exponentially in the coming period, shared her foresight, noting that many companies posting warnings in foreign languages on their websites and broadcasting commercials in different languages triggers sales by 8%.
Note: If you recall, the law on property acquisition by foreigners was pending in the Council of Ministers for a long time within the framework of harmonization laws with the European Union. According to the comments of investors and analysts, selling land is not a profitable investment for now; the world population is increasing, but there is no change in living space.
