Troop Shipment to Mosul Has Stopped
Due to the geopolitical position our country is in, it's not a day that passes without an incident or a threat occurring around us. Troops are stationed both within the country's borders and in some regions outside the country. This stationing of troops is sometimes required by international duties, and sometimes by agreements between two countries. As a result, a company of soldiers is stationed in Mosul for training purposes. This is not a new development but a continuation from previous years. Troop rotations are carried out continuously.
What is the Source of the Problem?
The Iraqi government is concerned about our country's desire to increase the number of troops stationed in the Mosul region. However, numerous incidents occur in our country daily due to terrorist attacks originating from that region. Consequently, it is our country's responsibility to take necessary precautions. Therefore, taking a stance or making decisions regarding the events in this region has always been a necessity for our country.
