Clocks Turned Back Turkey Remained Ahead
We Will Live Two Weeks Ahead
Across the world, clocks are set forward one hour for summer time and back one hour for winter time. This practice, aimed at making better use of daylight, seeks to save energy. While the world's clocks are automatically set back for winter time, Turkey has postponed advancing its clocks by two weeks due to elections. It is unknown what this will add or detract from the elections, but it has caused a day of confusion in our country.
Clocks Are All Mixed Up
In the morning, smartphones, computers, and tablets automatically set their clocks back one hour. However, analog clocks remained at their normal time. As a result, some citizens acted according to the old time, while others set out with the new time. This confusion became the topic of the morning. Consequently, our country will set its clocks back one hour on November 8th.
